David John “Chief” Stevens, 68, of Canonsburg, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013, in Manor Care, McMurray, following an extended illness.
He was born June 16, 1945, in Green Bay, Wis., a son of an American Indian (Oneida) mother, the late Lois Madeline Webster Stevens.
A high school graduate, he had been employed at the former McGraw Edison Power Systems and Cooper Industries in Canonsburg. Prior to his retirement, he was a self-employed painter for many years.
Mr. Stevens was a member of SNPJ Lodge 138 of Strabane, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191, PNU, White Eagles Society and French Club, all of Canonsburg.
On February 5, 1994, he married Doris Clouston Binotto, who survives.
Also surviving are a stepson, Michael (Judy) Clouston of Valdosta, Ga.; mother-in-law Anna Clouston Borio of Burgettstown; two brothers of Green Bay; two brothers-in-law, Barry (Donna) Clouston and William Clouston, both of Avella; a cousin, Raymond F. Bosso of Marietta, Ohio; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He leaves behind his cat, Flip-Flop.
