Enjoyed roller skating
William Leonard “Lee” Henderson, 54, of Waynesburg, died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2013, in his home.
He was born Saturday, January 3, 1959, in Waynesburg, a son of Opal Anderson Henderson of Graysville and the late David L. Henderson.
Mr. Henderson enjoyed roller skating and was a former Graysville fireman.
He worked for 10 years for GPX Corp. in Cranberry Township as a laborer. He was presently employed by Carmichaels Golf Club as a groundskeeper, having worked there for 16 years. He also worked on the weekends at Waynesburg Roller Rink.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a daughter, Jessie Mae Henderson of Rices Landing; three sons, William Leonard Henderson Jr. of Republic, Nicholas R. Henderson of Jefferson and Christopher Lee Henderson of Waynesburg; three grandchildren, Frank J. Glover, Jaycee Ray Herrod and Nicholas Christopher Henderson; a sister, Darlene (David) Wilson of Waynesburg; four brothers, David A. (Cathy) Henderson of Mather, Randy Henderson of Waynesburg, John (Donna) Henderson of Wind Ridge and Todd Henderson of Graysville; and several nieces and nephews.
At the request of the family, there will be no public visitation. The family will hold a public memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 22, in Graysville fire hall. Burial will be private.
