Richard Lawrence Barus, 50, of McDonald, died Friday, December 6, 2013, in his home.
He was born November 24, 1963, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Raymond Barus and Rose Marie Kvarchak Barus.
Mr. Barus was a member of St. Mary Parish and enjoyed bowling and golfing.
He worked as a truck driver for PepsiCo Inc., and prior to that, drove for DHL.
Surviving are his mother, Rose Marie Barus of Lawrence; godmother Mary Barus of Carnegie; several cousins; and many friends.
Deceased are his father, Raymond, who died in 1997; a brother Raymond, who died in 1990; paternal grandparents Lawrence and Blanch Barus; and maternal grandparents Albert and Eva Silicky Kvarchak.
Friends will be received from 9 to 10 a.m., the time of Christian Funeral Mass, Monday, December 9, in St. Mary’s Church, Cecil, with Father Stan Gregorek officiating. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Scott Township.
