Guy Guzell, 64, of Strabane, died Wednesday, December 4, 2013, in his home.
He was born November 1, 1949, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Stanley and Caroline Mirisciotti Guzell.
Mr. Guzell was a 1968 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Guzell was a member of Christ Church at Grove Farm, where he was an usher, involved in the men’s Bible study group and Christian leadership.
He was a member of Gold Panning Association of America.
Mr. Guzell was the owner and manager of Pitt Canon, Canonsburg, and The Electric and Watt Not Shop, Meadow Lands.
He enjoyed flea marketing and was a black diamond downhill skier.
Surviving are his wife, Cheryl Weishner Guzell, of Canonsburg, and his brother, Stanley “Butch” (Barbara) Guzell Jr., of Poland, Ohio.
A celebration of Mr. Guzell’s life will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of services, Saturday, December 14, in Sollon Funeral Home Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director, with the Rev. Mr. Joseph Cerenzia officiating.
