Bryan Thomas, a redshirt junior defensive end and a Washington High School graduate, has helped Bowling Green’s football team advance to the Mid-American Conference champion game.
Thomas and Bowling Green (9-3) will play undefeated Northern Illinois Friday night at Ford Field in Detroit.
Thomas (6-2, 257) has played in all 12 games this season and is the 10th-leading tackler for the Falcons with 27 stops, including five for losses and one quarterback sack. He also has recovered one fumble.
A 2010 Washington graduate, Thomas was a first team all-state selection as a senior, when he led the Prexies’ defense with 17 sacks.
