Proud to be Americans

My husband and I were fortunate enough to be at the Crown Center mall food court Sunday when we saw a large group of veterans walking in. A gentleman came to our table and said they were Vietnam veterans on their way to Ohio after visiting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C.
He said it was a three-day trip, and there were two doctors, three nurses, caregivers and volunteers traveling with them. He also explained they had been doing this for nine years.
It was a very heartwarming experience, and it made us proud to be Americans. We went to their tables and thanked them.
