CINCINNATI (AP) – Mary Brown, the widow of the late Cincinnati Bengals founder and coach Paul Brown, has died. She was 84.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reported Brown passed away Saturday at her Milford home. She was told in August that she had bone cancer.

Paul Brown died in August 1991, but Mary Brown still represented him at many events, including the 50th anniversary of the Pro Football Hall of Fame last summer.

The Browns were married in 1973 and had three sons. Mike Brown is the Bengals’ president.
