U.S. Navy veteran
L. Keith Emmerling, 69, of Venetia, died Friday, December 13, 2013, in his home.
He was the beloved husband of Patricia “Trish”; dearly loved father and stepfather of Jeffrey Emmerling (Melissa), Elisabeth “Elissa” Emmerling, Jennifer Munns, Jill Stepnicka (Bob), Laura Skinner (Matt), John Munns (Christi) and Brigid Crawford (Nick); brother of the late Kenneth Emmerling; and grandfather of Ethan, Logan, Jackson, Eva, Emerson, Scarlett, Kenley and Sawyer.
Mr. Emmerling was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. After retiring from Thomas Jefferson High School after 36 years, he became a congregational care pastor at Peters Creek Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday in David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (Route 88), Library. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 21, in Peters Creek Baptist Church, South Park Township. Everyone please meet at the church.
