Elizabeth Rogan Hartwick, 96, of Youngsville, formerly of Greene County, died at 8 a.m. Sunday, December 29, 2013, in Rouse Nursing Home, Youngsville.

She was born Saturday, January 20, 1917, in Davistown, a daughter of the late William Cowell and Ida Rose Beall Cowell.

Mrs. Hartwick was Methodist.

She enjoyed shopping and was a homemaker.

Her first husband, Andrew Rogan, and her second husband, Emanuel Hartwick, are deceased.

Surviving are two sons, Mitchell William (Germaine) Rogan of Fresno, Calif., and Ronald Andrew (Cathy) Rogan of East Liverpool, Ohio; a son-in-law, Paul Cree of Warren; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the last of her immediate family.

Deceased are a daughter, Peggy Rogan Cree; a son, Timothy Andrew Rogan, who died in infancy; four sisters, Lela Cowell, Pearl Honsaker, Madeline Garrison and Jenna West; and three brothers, Kenneth Cowell, Rolland Cowell and John Cowell.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of service, Friday, January 3, in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, with the Rev. William Parker officiating. Burial will be in Wolfe Cemetery, Dunkard Township.
