Metamorphosis, a “one-stop shop” wellness center at 300 Cedar Hill Drive, McMurray, directly behind Donaldson’s Crossroads, will hold its grand opening from 3 to 6 p.m. Jan. 4.

Tours of the facility, food tasting by chef Garnett Livingston from La Maison and a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be part of the festivities.

Metamorphosis began as a dream years ago for its founder and owner, Melissa Migliaro.

“I wanted to establish a place where people could come to find relief from their stress and worries,” she said in a news release. “I also wanted to connect them to experts in a wide variety of fields who could help them live healthier, well-rounded lives.”

The site will offer continuing education and a wide variety of wellness activities to meet the needs of a diverse population. The building is designed to accommodate events such as cooking classes, yoga and pilates, special events and guest speakers.

Guest speakers in 2014 will include best-selling author Robert Mack and drummer Jim Donovan, founding member of the 1990s band Rusted Root.
