Pa. slots revenue sees slight decline

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board said revenue from slot machines was down slightly in November.
According to the report, gross revenue from slot machines at the 12 casinos fell 1.3 percent in November to $189,970,652 compared to the $192,512,491 in gross revenue generated in November 2012.
Tax revenue in November of this year was $101,508,310.
In a comparison of just the 11 casinos operating in November 2013 that were also open for the full month of November 2012, revenue fell by 2.2 percent.
At The Meadows Racetrack & Casino, gross revenue from slots dipped 5.28 percent to 18,007,638, from 19,011,461 a year ago.
At Pittsburgh’s Rivers Casino, gross revenue stood at 22,949,773 in November, down 0.84 percent from the 23,144,019 posted for November 2012.
Valley Forge Casino was the biggest gainer in slots gross revenue among the 11 casinos that were in operation for more than a year, logging $5,389,459, up 25.89 percent from $4,281,215 collected a year ago.
Nemacolin Wodland’s Lady Luck Casino in Farmington, which opened July 1, had gross slots revenue of $1,727,815 in November.
