Washington Health System Sports Medicine is partnering with Washington, Fort Cherry and Trinity high schools to select a male and female student-athlete of the month and one coach of the month based on criteria highlighting academic and athletic excellence as well as involvement in extracurricular activities outside of their respective sports. December winners are Erin Allison of Fort Cherry, cross country; Forrest Cullings of Trinity, football; and Jessica Ott, Washington High School cross country coach. Allsion has a 3.85 grade-point average and recently won a state medal in cross country. Cullings has a 4.13 grade-point average and is recognized for his character, integrity and kindness. Ott is regarded as a role model for student-athletes as well as other coaches. She is praised for her support of the school’s academic and extracurricular life.
