Karlie Comfort was named to the dean’s list with a 4.0 grade-point average for the fall semester at Slippery Rock University. Her major is middle level math education with a minor in special education. She is a 2011 graduate of Trinity High School and is a sales associate for American Eagle and Victoria’s Secret. Her parents are Tony and Kim Comfort of Washington.

Teddy Mathis III was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he is a senior political science major. His parents are Darlene R. and Theo J. Mathis Jr. of Canonsburg. Mathis is a 2008 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School.

Alyson Marie Maund, a 2009 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School, was named to the dean’s list at Clarion University of Pennsylvania with a 4.0 GPA for the fall semester. Maund is a speech language pathology major and member of National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association, The National Society of Leadership and Success and Sigma Alpha Pi. Her parents are Jan and James Maund of Canonsburg.

Benjamin Thomas Maund, a son of Jan and James Maund of Canonsburg, was named to the dean’s list at Indiana University of Pennsylvania for the fall semester with a 4.0 GPA, where he is pursing a master’s in health and physical education with an undergrad degree in marketing from Clarion University. He is a member of the National Association for Sport and Physical Education, Pennsylvania State Education Association, Pennsylvania State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. Maund is a 2006 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School.

Liana Plants was named to the dean’s list for the third consecutive semester at Waynesburg University. Her parents are Connie and Gaylord Plants of Washington. She is an accounting major with minors in business management, human resources and real estate and a 2011 graduate of Trinity High School. Plants is employed by Dees Wireless.

Ciara Rotondo, a daughter of Judy Rotondo of Canonsburg and Tom and Kelly Rotondo of Elizabethtown, was named to the dean’s list at Penn State University for the fifth consecutive semester with a 4.0 grade point average. She is an early childhood education major and member of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society with a winter induction into Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society. Rotondo is an active volunteer for Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (THON) and a 2010 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School.
