Salary board takes action on personnel matters

WAYNESBURG – Greene County Salary Board addressed several personnel matters during its meeting Thursday.

Mary Beth Tarpley-Garrett was hired as a block grant program specialist for the human services department at a salary of $36,000 a year.

Rebecca Harris, the county’s director of human resources, said the newly created position had been posted and was filled with the hiring Thursday of Tarpley-Garrett.

The board took the following action related to these departments:

• Hired Joshua Sifuentes as a full-time security officer at a rate of $12.17 an hour.

• Hired Hannah Toski, John Friedmann and Billy Nichols as casual sheriff deputies at $12 an hour.

•Accepted the resignation of Claudia Iams as a casual van driver.

• Removed Diana Kerrr and Sam Guesman from the payroll due to the expiration of a leave of absence period.

• Hired Cody Antonini as a temporary network technician at $10 an hour.

• Hired Jennifer Dickquist as a law clerk at $31,622.03 a year.

• Rehired Brian Conard as a night watchman/laborer at $10 an hour.

• Rehired Kaitlyn Hoskins as a temporary part-time guest relations in parks and recreation at $7.25 an hour.

• Promoted Denise Thomas to legal secretary II at $15.02 an hour.

• Increased the salary of Laurie Tomas, legal intern, from $10 and hour to $13 an hour.
