Roberts – Ferencak

Roberts Chapel at Waynesburg University was the site for the wedding of Nicole Ferencak and Jared Roberts, who were married July 26, 2013, with Pastor John Dorean officiating the 2:30 p.m. ceremony.

The bride’s parents are John and ToniAnne Ferencak of Waynesburg. Her grandparents are Charles and Caroline Ferencak of Mather, Daniel and Barbara Sikora of Washington, the late Anthony LaJevic and the late Joseph and Pauline Raciborski.

Parents of the bridegroom are Steve and Tammie Roberts of Washington. His grandparents are Chuck and Dolores Roberts of Washington, Wilbur Gashel of Washington and the late Judith Gashel. The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Cara Cox of Mather. Bridesmaids were Maddie Snyder of Jefferson, Flo Hicks of McDonald, Lisa Ferencak of Jefferson, cousin of the bride; Heather Klein of Pittsburgh and Krysta DeHoet of Waynesburg. Junior bridesmaid was Olivia Sikora, cousin of the bride. Flower girls were Ava Davis, second cousin of the bride; and Kara Gashel, cousin of the groom.

Best man was Todd Martinek of McDonald. Groomsmen were Phil Westcott of Washington, cousin of the groom; Matt Roberts of Washington, brother of the groom; Kyle Wilkerson of Washington, Jordan Roberts of Washington, brother of the groom; and John Ferencak of Waynesburg. Junior groomsman was Jeremy Sikora, cousin of the bride. Ring bearer was Deakyn DeHoet, nephew of the bride

Readers were Sherri Falor and Tammie Roberts.

A reception was held at Doubletree by Hilton Hotel, Meadow Lands.

The new Mrs. Roberts is a 2007 graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School and a 2011 graduate of Washington Hospital School of Nursing. She is a registered nurse at SeniorLife in Washington.

Mr. Roberts is a 2007 graduate of Trinity High School and a 2011 graduate of Waynesburg University, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in special education and elementary education. He is a special education teacher at McGuffey High School. He also is assistant coach for the varsity wrestling team at McGuffey.

The newlyweds took a honeymoon trip to Punta Cana and make their home in Washington.
