Anna Batson, 75, of Washington, died Sunday, June 2, 2023, in her home.

She was born March 20, 1948, in Germany, a daughter of the late Mykola and Wira Antonenko Baraniw.

She was a 1966 graduate of South Side High School and worked as a payroll clerk for AT&T until her retirement in 2003.

On August 3, 1985, in Canonsburg, she married Arthur Batson, who died April 19, 2020.

Surviving are three sisters, Mary (Robert) Hadvab of Ariz., Helen (Ron) Lazenga of Tampa, Fla. and Lydia Manthey of Debray, Fla.; four stepsons, Arthur J. Batson of Ga., Richard A. (Amy) Batson of Washington, Michael J. Batson of Ga. and Charles A. (Stacy) Batson of Washington; four step-grandchildren, A.J., Angela, Joshua and Brianna Batson; and several nieces and nephews.

All services were private. Arrangements were entrusted to Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Directors, Inc., 420 Locust Avenue, Washington.
