Donna M. Marran Collins

Donna M. Marran Collins, 63, of Bentleyville, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 12, 2023, in her home.

She was born October 21, 1959, in MaGee Women’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Al Marran and Mary Marran Gosney.

Donna was a 1977 graduate of Bentworth High School and also attended Penn Commercial.

A Medical Assistant, she had been employed at Advanced Women’s Care of Pittsburgh for 25 years.

Her family was the light of her life, she loved her grandchildren, and was considered the “cook” of the family, always preparing delicious meals, including her famous pierogi.

Donna also loved flowers, collecting “Knick-Knacks” and her bird, Pretty Girl. She also enjoyed her Koi pond in the backyard of her home.

Catholic by faith, she was a member of the St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Bentleyville.

Surviving, in addition to her former husband, Lewis R. Collins Sr. (Debbie), are two sons: Lewis Collins Jr. (Cindy) of Bentleyville and Jonathon Collins (Ashley) of Charleroi; six grandchildren: Tyler (April), Brad, Logan, Kylie, Airi, Kaden, Kayson, Laila, Brian and Adi; three siblings: Linda Kvortek (Bobby) of Bentleyville, Gina Latta (Andrew) of Bentleyville, and Alexander “Sandy” Marran (Kathy) of Scenery Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are a son, Joshua D. Collins; and step-father, William Gosney.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, in Greenlee’s Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 17, 2023. An
