United Way of Washington County holds United Day of Service
More than 50 volunteers contributed about 300 hours of time as part of the United Way of Washington County’s fifth annual Live United Day of Service last week.
Employees of the United Way’s Workplace Giving Campaign Partners and several other community groups were paired up with local community nonprofit community partners for Friday’s volunteer service.
Nonprofit hosts included ARC Human Services, Washington City Mission, Domestic Violence Services of SWPA, Food Helpers, Pathways of SWPA, SPHS Care Center and Washington & Jefferson College.
Volunteer groups included Community Bank, EQT, Range Resources, Traditions of America of Southpointe residents, UGI Energy Services, Washington County Democratic Committee, and W&J students.
“We are grateful for these volunteers who will gave their time and talent on Live United Day of Service to make a difference in our community,” said P. Ann Hrabik, executive director of the United Way of Washington College. “We are honored to be the organization that coordinates this event.”
