Brady reaches milestone in West Greene triumph
ROGERSVILLE — Colin Brady returned in a big way for West Greene, as the senior reached a milestone Friday in the Pioneers’ 41-32 victory over Monessen in Class A Tri-County South play at West Greene.
Brady had to sit out last week’s game due to a high ankle sprain, but he returned Friday night, rushed for 301 yards on 23 carries and scored 4 touchdowns. Brady needed 76 yards to reach 5,000 for his career and surpassed that in a big way against the Greyhounds. Brady has 5,225 rushing yards in his career.
Brady scored on a 67-yard run in the second quarter to put West Greene (3-0, 5-1) ahead, 13-7, at halftime.
Lane Allison threw touchdown passes to Seth and Parker Burns. Brady scored on two nine-yard runs and a 74-yard run to put the game away in the fourth quarter.
Monessen falls to 0-3 in conference play and 1-5 overall.
