A Veterans Day ceremony is planned for Saturday, Nov. 11 at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Cecil Township.

The ceremony is set for 11 a.m. The keynote speaker will be Brigadier General, PA (Ret.) Maureen Weigl, deputy adjutant general for veterans affairs.

The theme for this year is “Honoring All Who Served.” Music will be provided by the Canon-McMillan High School Band and the Pittsburgh South Hills Keystone Chorus. Also, two ceremonial wreaths will be placed in honor of all veterans and POW/MIA’s.

Because of the cemetery’s expansion, parking is extremely limited. If possible, those attending should carpool. Once the cemetery is full, cars will be turned away.
