Summit Legal Aid, Washington County’s nonprofit legal aid organization, is teaming up with the Washington County Bar Association and City Mission for Clean Slate Day on Friday, April 12.
Clean Slate Day allows individuals with criminal charges or convictions to meet with volunteer attorneys and pardon coaches for free to find out if they are eligible for pardons, expungements, or sealing their records. Volunteers will review case information and assist with the application process.
The Clean Slate Clinic will be at the City Mission at 84 W. Wheeling St. in Washington from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. The clinic will be in the dining room of the City Mission.
Pre-registration to meet with an attorney is strongly encouraged, though walk-ins will be welcome. Online registration is at summitlegal.org/clean-slate-legal-clinic or dial 800-846-0871 to speak with Summit Legal Aid’s intake team.
Additional information is available by contacting Brian Gorman, executive director of Summit Legal Aid, at brian@summitlegal.org or Kathy Sabol, executive director of the Washington County Bar Association, at kathy@washcobar.org/.
