Mt. Lebanon scored one run in the top of the first inning and three Blue Devils pitchers made sure it was enough as Lebo blanked Canon-McMillan 1-0 Friday in Class 6A Section 2.

Mt. Lebanon (2-1, 5-2), the defending WPIAL champion, won two times in the three-game series.

The Blue Devils scored on a one-out walk by David Shields and an RBI double by Graham Keen.

Shields pitched three hitless innings with seven strikeouts. Sawyer Klasnick followed with two innings and Luca Borris got the final six outs for a save.

Canon-McMillan’s Kolton Smittle threw a complete-game five-hitter. Nico Patragas and Alex Shank each had a double for the Big Macs (1-2, 1-4).
