The Wild Things announced Wednesday the signing of infielder Jalen Miller, a former third-round draft pick of the San Francisco Giants.

The 27-year-old Miller, who has played second base, shortstop and left field in his career, was drafted in 2015 by the Giants out of Riverwood International Charter School in Georgia and played five seasons in the San Francisco system. He was signed as a minor-league free agent by Atlanta in 2021 and played two years in the Braves’ farm system.

Miller advanced to Class AA with both organizations. He has played 302 career games at Double-A.

Last summer, Miller split the year between York and Charleston (W.Va.) of the independent Atlantic League. He batted .279 with 12 home runs and 27 stolen bases in 90 games with Charleston.
