A bike run to benefit the Meerdo family of Washington will be held Sunday at the Greene County Airport, Waynesburg. Registration will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Cost is $20 for the bike run, plus $15 for an additional rider. The ride will end at Rinky Dinks in Amity. Food will be served at 5 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by Ruff Creek, Jackson T. Gardner, Branch and Dean and Andy Griggs. Donation is $20 at the door.
Immaculate Conception Parish, Washington, will hold its 15th annual Summer Festival from 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday through June 21 in the school parking lot. Proceeds will benefit John F. Kennedy Catholic School. There will be nightly musical entertainment, ethnic food booths, children’s activities, games of chance and a large indoor flea market. Jefferson Township Historical Society will meet at 10 a.m. June 21 at the White Church Building, Eldersville. “Early Towns of Washington County,” featuring photographs from the 19th and early-20th centuries, will be presented by guest speaker Clay Kilgore, executive director of the Washington County Historical Society. He will discuss development of the towns, important structures and key events. Refreshments will be served.
Washington County Community Center, 216 Taylor Drive, Canonsburg, will hold an inside and outside garage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 27 and June 28. Proceeds will benefit the center. For more information, call 724-745-380.
Giant Oaks Garden Club of McMurray will hold its “Planting a Rainbow” standard flower show from noon to 7 p.m. June 28 and noon to 5 p.m. June 29 at The Galleria of Mt. Lebanon. Admission is free.
