Vehicle burglarized: Howard Dye, 71, of Buena Vista Street, reported to state police items were stolen from his vehicle between 1 a.m. Wednesday and 6:45 a.m. Thursday.

Animal cruelty charge: Mischelle Miller, 45, of Cuddy, was charged by state police with cruelty to animals for allegedly leaving her dog in the car with the windows up Friday between 6:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. at Denny’s on West Chestnut Street. Police said charges will be sent from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Highway accident: One person was injured in a car accident about 5:30 p.m. Friday on Interstate 79 North near the Hendersonville exit in Cecil Township. Barbara A. Zak-Dunmire, 28, of Pittsburgh, was transported to St. Clair Hospital with unknown injuries. A vehicle driven by Joseph R. Caldwell, 25, of Morgantown, hit Zak-Dunmire’s vehicle while it was stopped in traffic in the left lane. Caldwell and one passenger were uninjured. Caldwell was charged by state police with following too closely.
