TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. – Scott Kalamar and William Beckwith drove in two runs each and Scott Dunn threw 7 2/3 shutout innings as Washington held on in the ninth inning to get a 5-4 victory at Traverse City Thursday night.

Dunn scattered seven hits and walked three as he pitched into the eighth inning for Washington (13-5).

Traverse City (7-11) then scored four runs off reliever Alfonso Yevoli in the bottom of the ninth inning before Jonathan Kountis came on to get the final out and strand the potential game-tying run at second base.

Kountis earned his seventh save of the season.
