CHARLEROI – Charleroi Regional police released the identities of five people who received minor stab wounds in a brawl early Wednesday at a local tavern.

Police said Thomas Gentry, 30, of Donora, was wielding a knife when a fight broke out relating to a bar patron’s girlfriend, Rose Brown, 33, of Washington Township, about 2 a.m. in the doorway at MD Bar & Grill.

Gentry and Brown both received lacerations, as did Chris Majors, 45, of Monessen; Terry Newton Jr., 24, of Charleroi; and Donald Laughland, 45, also of Charleroi.

None of the injuries were life threatening, and all five were treated and later released from hospitals, police said.

The investigating officer had yet to review surveillance footage from the bar at 731 McKean Ave., and the case remained under investigation Friday as police attempted to determine who inflicted wounds upon whom.

Charges have yet to filed against anyone in the case.
