The following people appeared recently for sentencing in Washington County Court.

Appearing before Judge Gary Gilman were:

James D. Smith Jr., 48, 102 Beatty Lane, Scenery Hill; simple assault and harassment; charged April 29, 2013; sentence – 23 months in Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program, mental health evaluation, domestic violence counseling and 25 hours of community service.

Dustin C. Rhodes, 24, 401 Ash St., Richeyville; first offense of DUI; charged March 18, 2013; sentence – 10 days to 6 months of electronic home monitoring, one-year driver’s license suspension and $1,000 fine.

Shelly M. White, 33, 321 Beallsville Road, Bentleyville; use/possession of drug paraphernalia and third offense of DUI; charged Aug. 21; sentence – 30 days to 18 months in jail to run concurrently with 12 months of probation, 18-month driver’s license suspension, 12-month Interlock ignition device and $1,500 fine.

Ami M. Patel, 28, Aurora, Colo.; first offense of DUI; charged Oct. 7; sentence – 15 days to 6 months of electronic home monitoring, 12-month driver’s license suspension and $1,000 fine.

Linda L. Newstrom, 54, 6015 Meadow Ave., Charleroi; driving with a suspended license and second offense of DUI; charged Feb. 9; sentence – 6 to 26 months of electronic home monitoring with the first 3 months on SCRAM device, 18-month license suspension, 12-month Interlock ignition device and $2,500 fine.

Timothy E. Cutler, 35, 1654 Eastbrook Drive, Columbus, Ohio; use/possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and first offense of DUI; charged Dec. 17; sentence – 12 months of probation and $500 fine.

Crystal D. Posel, 44, 124 Elm St., Imperial; second offense of DUI; charged Nov. 20; sentence – 6 to 18 months of incarceration with minimum sentence to be served on electronic home monitoring, with first 3 months on SCRAM device, 18-month driver’s license suspension, 12-month Interlock ignition device and $1,500 fine.

Timothy L. Pendland, 26, 19 Scott Road, Finleyville; simple assault; charged Sept. 25; sentence – 18 months of probation, mental health evaluation and domestic violence counseling.

Jacqueline J. Summers, 39, 786 Kennedy St., Monongahela; simple assault; charged Jan. 25; sentence – 12 months in Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program, complete anger management and no contact with the victim.

Lesley Manown, 45, 212 Pleasant Valley Boulevard, Belle Vernon; theft by deception; charged Sept. 9; sentence – 3 to 23 months of incarceration with minimum sentence on electronic home monitoring and no contact with the victim.

Kelsey C. Matthews, 41, 2186 East National Pike, Scenery Hill; making terroristic threats; charged Aug. 29; sentence – 18 months of probation, mental health evaluation, anger management and domestic violence counseling and restitution.

Richard A. Walters, 46, 5 James St., Brownsville; first offense of DUI; charged Nov. 28; sentence – 6 months in the Intermediate Punishment program with first 10 days on electronic home monitoring and $300 fine.

Appearing before Judge Valarie Costanzo were:

Maya Lawson, 31, 233 Rear Allen, Donora; possession of a controlled substance; charged May 17, 2013; sentence – 3 to 12 months in jail.

Ryan D. Anzelmo, 42, Mexia, Texas; second offense of DUI; charged April 30, 2013; sentence – 90 days to 12 months in jail, 18-month driver’s license suspension, 12 months of Interlock ignition device and $1,500 fine.

Jonathan Casteel, 27, 605 Surrey Hill Drive, Uniontown; retail theft and accident involving damage; charged Feb. 26; sentence – 12 months in Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program, retail theft classes, restitution and banned from Wal-Mart.

Appearing before Judge John DiSalle were:

Timothy A. Rossell, 26, 408 Front St., Fredericktown; impersonating a public servant, three counts of theft by unlawful taking and four counts of theft by deception; charged April 23, 2011; sentence – 3 to 23 months in jail, 24 months of probation, restitution and no contact with victims.

Anthony J. Mavrikas, 27, 364 May St., Belle Vernon; theft; charged Sept. 25; sentence – 12 months of probation and restitution.

John D. Sarver, 60, 48 Murphy Drive, Maggie Valley, N.C.; making terroristic threats and firearms violation; charged Nov. 3; sentence – 3 to 23 months on electronic home monitoring, cannot possess firearm, mental health treatment, firearms confiscated and destroyed and no contact with victim.

Samuel J. Correy, 52, 212 Crestview Drive, Salix; forgery; charged July 26; 1 to 23 months of electronic home monitoring and banned from The Meadows Casino.

Lori L. Tivo, 30, 2033 Alfred St., Pittsburgh; forgery and theft by deception; charged Oct. 8; sentence – 1 to 23 months of electronic home monitoring, restitution and banned from First Niagara Bank.

Matthew R. Thompson, 24, 6044 Irishtown Road, Bethel Park; retail theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft; charged Aug. 11; sentence – 30 days to 12 months in jail, 11 months of probation and restitution.

Angela M. Conrad, 33, 6 Riverview Ave., Crucible; retail theft; charged June 3, 2013; sentence – banned from Family Dollar, retail theft classes and $50 fine.

Mildred V. Williams, 31, 145 1/2 Baird Ave., Washington; defiant trespass and theft by unlawful taking; charged May 28, 2013; sentence – 12 months of probation, restitution and no contact with the victim and codefendants.

Matthew T. Markish, 25, 124 Raymond St., Burgettstown; use/possession of drug paraphernalia; charged March 7, 2013; sentence – 12 months of probation, continue with Narcotics Anonymous, paraphernalia and contraband destroyed and funds forfeited to drug task force.

Jeffrey M. Miller, 33, 404 Monroe St., New Eagle; theft, defiant trespass, endangering the welfare of children and possession of a controlled substance; charged Nov. 17; sentence – 1 to 23 months in jail, restitution and no contact with minor child.

Nicholas A. Guta, 33, 243 Smith Way, Pittsburgh; two counts of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to deliver; charged Sept. 21, 2012; sentence – 6 to 23 months in jail.

The following people recently appeared in Washington County Court for first offenses of driving under the influence and were admitted to the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program. If they successfully complete the program, they can petition the court to have their records expunged. Admitted were:

Kevin D. Kelley, 50, 161 Fulton St., Washington; Joshua R. Ricker, 26, 110 Colonial Way, Canonsburg; Alan M. Perry, 20, 1460 1/2 Allison Ave., Washington; John J. Sheppard, 36, 775 Allison Ave., Washington.
