The state Department of Transportation is announcing single-lane closures in both directions of the Fort Pitt tunnels and bridge in Pittsburgh this week as crews perform route maintenance and clean the structures.

Work on the tunnel and bridge will begin Monday at 10 p.m. and continue until 5 a.m. The work during those overnight hours on the tunnel will occur until Friday night, according to PennDOT.

The single-lane closures of the westbound lanes will continue overnight until Thursday morning as crews wash of the lower deck of the bridge.
