A Washington woman was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital after state police on patrol just after 4 a.m. Wednesday spotted the wreckage of her vehicle off Route 40 near Robinson Road in North Bethlehem Township.

A trooper spotted the taillights of a vehicle and found the 21-year-old driver, Gabriela Crispin, inside about 4:08 a.m. Police said the view of the vehicle was obstructed from the road.

Crispin was flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of head injuries.
