Roadside Chapel revival, scheduled for Monday through July 26, has been canceled, but the 47th anniversary celebration will be held Sunday, with Sunday school beginning at 10 a.m., followed by lunch at noon. West End Neighborhood Watch Chapter I will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at West Washington United Methodist Church. The third Yard of the Month contest winner will be announced.
Fairall United Methodist Church in Waynesburg will hold its Annual Festival at 5 p.m. July 26. The menu will include chicken sandwiches, ham barbecue, hot sausage, hot dogs, homemade noodles, baked beans, an assortment of salads, fruit cup, pie, cake and beverage. Takeout will be available. Giant Oaks Garden Club will meet at 11 a.m. Aug. 7 at St. David’s Anglican Church, 905 E. McMurray Road, Venetia. Charlotte Tancin, librarian at the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation at Carnegie Mellon University, will discuss the life and art of Maria Sibylla Merian, an amateur entomologist and a pioneer in the study of tropical insects.
