The latest table games revenue report from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board was a mixed bag for gaming venues statewide.
The Meadows Casino didn’t fare as well.
According to figures released Wednesday, the North Strabane Township site experienced a 16.75 decrease in tables revenue during the 2013-14 fiscal year, which ended June 30, from FY 2012-13. That was the largest percentage drop among the 11 casinos open statewide in June 2013 and June 2014. The Meadows fell from $35,983,833 (80 tables in use) in 2012-13 to $29,955,300 (81 tables).
Its year-over-year tables revenue also declined from $2,826,564 in June 2013 to $2,673,607 last month, a 5.4 percent drop.
Statewide, the 12 casinos generated $57.8 million in table games revenue last month, a 2.8 percent decrease from June 2013. That total, however, enabled the state to end the 2013-14 fiscal year with $731 million in tables revenue, a 2.6 jump from 2012-13.
The casinos produced $105 million in tax revenue from the games during the fiscal year.
Four of the state’s 11 casinos open both Junes increased their revenue from June 2013 to last month, including Rivers in Pittsburgh. Its figure rose 9.4 percent, from $4,908,548 to $5,371,000.
Six of the 11 increased their revenue during the most recent fiscal year, all in Eastern Pennsylvania.
Nemacolin became fully operational July 1, 2013.
