Monongahela man gets prison for sex crimes

A Monongahela man was sentenced to a maximum of 12 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to a host of sex charges, including aggravated indecent assault.

Ronald L. Gray, 48, who last lived on Hudson Street, entered his pleas June 26 to several counts each of aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault of a person under the age of 13 and corruption of minors.

According to court documents, Gray was accused of inappropriately touching two young girls while they were at his home. The abuse was documented as “constant,” and occurred from January 2012 to December 2012, court documents showed. His relationship with the victims was not disclosed.

Gray was sentenced to a minimum of 6 years to a maximum of 12 years in prison, followed by 5 years of probation. Gray also was ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation, follow any recommended treatment and register with Megan’s Law for the remainder of his life. He is not to have contact with the victims.
