The community dinner at Throckmorton United Methodist Church scheduled today has been canceled.

The 23rd annual Cabbage Flats all-town yard sale will be held today on Route 88 in Greensboro. The sale takes place for most of the day. Shoppers are advised to come early for the best selection.

Descendants of John Mack and Nancy Phillips will hold their 42nd annual reunion today in the lower level of building 10 at the Greene County Fairgrounds. Dinner will be held at noon, and each family is asked to bring a covered dish. Place settings and pop will be provided. Social hour will continue until 4 p.m. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Waynesburg Senior Center will hold an “Invite a Friend Day” from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday. A hot lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. Come and see our fitness facility, quilting room, computer lab, as well as Elder Care, the adult day care program. Morning activities include Wii bowling, cards, puzzles, dartball and Bible study. Afternoon activities include Rummikub, line dancing lessons, craft classes and Silver Sneakers.
