One dead, two wounded at Western Pa. public housing complex

ELLWOOD CITY (AP) – Authorities say three people were shot at a public housing complex in western Pennsylvania and one of the victims died.

State police in Lawrence County say the gunfire broke out at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday in the Ellwood City complex.

KDKA-TV reports that a 42-year-old man ran to a nearby restaurant and lounge for help but was later pronounced dead. His name hasn’t been released.

Police said a 29-year-old woman and 34-year-old man were flown to Pittsburgh-area hospitals with injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening.

There was no immediate word of any arrests in the case.
