PITTSBURGH (AP) – A Western Pennsylvania veteran who has post-traumatic stress disorder has been scheduled to change his not guilty plea to charges that he took a 13-year-old family friend across state lines for sex.

Thirty-three-year-old Joshua Baker, of Leeper, was charged by state authorities with kidnapping the girl whom he had allegedly met through relatives and begun a sexual relationship with in 2012, when she was just 12.

Those charges have been on hold since federal authorities took over the case weeks after he was found with the girl and arrested in Martin, S.D., in April 2013. Baker has been in custody ever since.

Online court records show he’s scheduled to plead guilty Tuesday morning before a federal judge in Pittsburgh.

Baker’s public defender hasn’t replied to a request for comment.
