Rebellion suffer third straight shutout loss

Rachele Fico tossed a three-hitter and struck out three in helping the Akron Racers shut out the Pennsylvania Rebellion 5-0 Saturday night in a National Pro Fastpitch softball game.

The start of the game was delayed one hour by rain.

The shutout is the third straight for the Rebellion, who fell to 8-30.

Akron jumped on Rebellion starter Anna Miller for two runs in the first inning on a two-run home run by Charlotte Morgan. Akron scored three more on a home run by Ashley Thomas in the fourth.

Courtney Liddle, Kourtney Salvarola and Nicole Morgan each had a hit for the Rebellion.
