Cornerstone Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Aug. 12 at the Fordyce Country Store and Post Office. A reception will be held after the tour at the home of Bill and Kathy Miller. Filer-Sadlek Post 954 of the American Legion, Jefferson will have a flag disposal ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 13 at the post home in Jefferson. Persons with soiled or unserviceable flags may bring them to the post at any time and place them in the box located on the east side of the building. Also, the Home Association of Club 954, Jefferson, will meet at the American Legion post at 7 p.m. All members of Club 954 Home Association are invited to attend.
