James Kaufman, Lonnie Rudinksy and James Roberts recently won the first Wine, Jazz & Pops Festival amateur wine-making contest at North Strabane Municipal Park.

Kaufman won the dry red category with a 2013 Cabernet. Rudinsky won the dry white competition with a 2012 Traminer Spatlese, and Roberts won the sweet/fruit competition with a 2014 Wineberry vintage. The winners received a marble wine chiller.

Judges were John and Angela Burhess from A&M Wine Supplies and Ken Weiss, a local winemaker.
