Noodles & Co. plans to open Monday

Max & Erma’s and Olive Garden will be getting company Monday.
Noodles & Co., a fast-casual restaurant chain, will open at 11 a.m. that day in the Old Mill. It will be the third business, and third dining spot, to operate in that South Strabane Township development — and first to launch there in 20 months. There also will be a catering service for groups of 20 to 200.
The Broomfield, Colo.-based company has more than 400 locations nationwide; this will be the sixth in the Pittsburgh area, The chain offers international and American noodle dishes, sandwiches, pastas, salads and soup.
The restaurant at 28 Old Mill Boulevard will have 2,600 square feet of space with seating for a total of 95 people — 73 in the dining room, 22 on the patio. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

Field & Stream, an outdoors-related store owned and operated by Dick’s Sporting Goods, may become the fourth business to launch at Old Mill, site of the failed Foundry retail development. The outdoors specialty store is shooting for a Sept. 12 opening.
