A free community dinner will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday in the social hall of the Rogersville United Methodist Church. The meal will include hot dogs, hamburgers, salads, baked beans, desserts and beverages. Donations are accepted and carryout is available. Everyone is welcome. The Carmichaels Women’s Women Civic Club will meet at 6 p.m. Sept. 4 at the Carmichaels Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Alka Rambhia, dietitian and certified diabetes educator, will be the guest speaker. She will address weight management and healthy eating habits. All members are encouraged to attend and to bring a guest. New members are welcome.
