Jesse L. Descutner was named to the dean’s list for the fourth consecutive semester at the University of Pittsburgh, where he is majoring in urban planning with GIS and historic preservation certifications. He is a member of the Urban Studies Association and in-line hockey league. Descutner is a 2012 graduate of Avella Junior/Senior High School, and his parents are Harry and Debora Descutner of Avella.

Cassandra May Taylor Hamilton, daughter of Juanita Hamilton of Avella, was named to the dean’s list at Waynesburg University, where she is majoring in nursing. She is a 2013 graduate of Avella Junior/Senior High School.
