HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Democratic gubernatorial candidate Tom Wolf says that, if elected, he’ll hire advisers who are not afraid to tell him when they think he’s wrong.

Wolf told a Harrisburg newspaper Thursday that CEOs who surround themselves with “yes” people are “completely nuts.”

In an hourlong interview streamed live on PennLive.com, the wealthy York businessman assessed Republican Gov. Tom Corbett’s record and discussed his views on taxes, jobs, natural gas drilling and education but broke no new ground.

Wolf says executives need to have advisers who are willing to tell them the truth. If they don’t, he says they don’t deserve their compensation.

Wolf and Corbett held the first of three campaign debates Monday in Hershey. The next debate is scheduled for Wednesday in Philadelphia.
