Dale Alan Leisure, 51, of West Alexander, died unexpectedly Thursday, December 20, 2012, in his home.

He was born January 11, 1961, in Moline, Ill., a son of the late Ralph W. and Sheila Eileen Moffit Leisure.

Mr. Leisure was a member of Windy Gap Presbyterian Church in West Finley, where he served as an elder.

He was employed as a meat cutter at Giant Eagle in Bentleyville and formerly worked at Riesbecks in Wheeling, W.Va.

Mr. Leisure was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Jaycees, while in Illinois.

He enjoyed telling jokes, storytelling, entertaining and feeding people, board games, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

On September 6, 1986, he married Melissa Kay Frye, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Ethan R. Leisure of Carnegie; a daughter, Bethany L. Leisure of Warrenton, Mo.; a brother, Mark Leisure; four sisters, Trish Bergeson, Sylvia Nimrick, Sandi Maraden and Christine Caroll; and a grandson, Daniel.

Deceased are a sister, Rae Ann Berich; and a brother, Jeff Moffitt.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Michael H. Heinrich Funeral Home, 219 Main Street, Claysville, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 27, with Pastor George Crawford officiating. Interment will follow in Mount View Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Windy Gap Presbyterian Church.
