The following people appeared recently for sentencing in Washington County Court before Judge Valarie Costanzo:

Shane M. Oravec, 19, 715 Center Ave., North Charleroi; disorderly conduct; charged March 16; sentence – 12 months of probation.

David A. Sawyer, 41, Springfield, Ohio; possession of a controlled substance; charged April 26, 2013; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Addison T. Abbas, 26, 750 Jefferson Ave., Washington; first offense of driving under the influence; charged Feb. 22; sentence – 10 days to 6 months in jail, $1,000 fine, and 1-year license suspension.

Anthony Young, 39, 5880 Leechburg Road, Leechburg; resisting arrest and false identification; charged April 5; sentence – 2 to 23 months in jail with credit for time served.

Thomas Edison, 470 Ewing St., Washington; simple assault; charged June 21, 2013; sentence – 12 months of probation and no contact with victim.

Rickeema W. Bedillion, 25, 440 Canton Ave., Washington; possession with intent to deliver; charged Oct. 1, 2013; sentence – 3 to 23 months in jail.

Dennis S. Burns, 42, Wakeman Ohio; two counts of retail theft; charged Oct. 21; sentence – 6 to 18 months in jail with credit for time served, restitution and banned from Walmart.

The following people appeared in Washington County Court for first offenses of driving under the influence and were admitted to the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program. If they successfully complete the program, they can petition the court to have their records expunged. Admitted were:
