PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Friends and family are planning a candlelight vigil for a missing college student last seen in Philadelphia on Thanksgiving morning.

The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday outside the student union building at West Chester University.

Shane Montgomery is a senior at the suburban Philadelphia university.

Volunteers have been putting up posters and searching for the 21-year-old, who disappeared last week after a night out with friends in the Manayunk section of the city.

Karen Montgomery says her son was escorted out of a bar at about 2 a.m. Thursday and hasn’t been seen since. She says there are no new leads in the case.

The FBI has joined in the investigation with the Philadelphia Police Department.

Rewards totaling $31,000 are being offered in the case.
