Escapes injury: Brandon Moreau, 19, of Third Street, McDonald, escaped injury early Thursday when his vehicle crashed on Hickory Ridge Road near Ryburn Road, Chartiers police said. He was driving south about 3:15 a.m. on Hickory Ridge when his vehicle spun off the road and rolled over. A fence owned by Donald Ryburn, 126 Ryburn, was damaged.

Bullet hole leads to charges: Charges were filed Wednesday against an East Washington man after a bullet hole was found in his neighbor’s ceiling. Jonathan Donaghy, 25, of 30 Lemoyne Ave., Apt. 3, is charged with recklessly endangering another person, court records show. According to the affidavit filed by East Washington police, Donaghy’s downstairs neighbor reportedly heard a gunshot Jan. 17 and found a bullet hole coming through the ceiling of her spare bedroom three days later. Donaghy reportedly told police a pistol that his girlfriend’s nephew found in his roommate’s bedroom went off after he took the weapon from the child. Police said the bullet went through a mattress before entering into the apartment below. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Driver injured: Glenn Flory, 25, of Bentleyville, was slightly injured Thursday when his vehicle went over an embankment off Daniels Run Road, North Bethlehem, and hit a tree, state police said. He will be cited with failure to drive at a safe speed. He told police he would take himself to a hospital for treatment.

Counterfeit bill passed: State police at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino, North Strabane, said that a counterfeit $20 bill was passed Thursday afternoon.

Two face charges: Kelly Lynn Koczka, 40, of Duquesne, and Esau Lavell Bray, 38, of McKeesport, face charges after allegedly stealing items from Walmart, Trinity Point, South Strabane police said. Koczka allegedly put items in a cart and covered it with a coat, and Bray pushed it out the door. They were gone before police arrived. Koczka will be charged with two counts of retail theft and criminal trespass, because she previously was banned from a Walmart. Bray also will be charged with retail theft.

Woman charged: Leann Sachek, 45, of 236 Richey St., Richeyville, was charged Friday with retail theft after she allegedly stole a 50-inch LED-HD television from Walmart, Trinity Point, Jan. 1, South Strabane police said.

Two charged in robbery: Charges were filed Wednesday against two Washington men in connection with a Jan. 13 robbery in the city.William C. Rush, 21, of 1165 W. Chestnut St., and Mark McMillan, 20, of 549 Buena Vista St., are facing charges of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, respectively, court records show. According to city police, the men approached a juvenile girl about 8:20 p.m. Jan. 13 in the 100 block of Baird Avenue and stole a backpack from her containing $105. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
