A North Charleroi woman was arrested Thursday on heroin possession charges following a traffic stop near her home that resulted in a passenger in her vehicle fleeing from the scene.

Angelica Fleming, 22, of 806 Conrad Ave., was charged by Charleroi Regional police with drug possession with intent to deliver, drug possession, hindering apprehension, driving with a suspended or revoked license, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show.

Her passenger, who was believed to be David Jeffries, escaped by jumping off a cliff in woods during a foot chase, police stated in the affidavit. He was wanted on several arrest warrants.

Police said Fleming identified Jeffries as Delmar Pritchett after her vehicle was stopped about 7 p.m. Police said they found $250 in a door panel in her vehicle and 16 bundles of heroin in her residence.

She is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.
