Wheeling Island has new president/GM

Osi Imomoh is the new president and general manager of Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack in Wheeling, W.Va.
Delaware North Companies made the announcement Wednesday. It is the parent of Southland Park Gaming and Racing in West Memphis, Ark., where Omimah worked previously.
He replaces James Simms, who was recently named president and general manager of Miami Valley Gaming in Ohio, a new joint gaming venture with Churchill Downs Inc.
Since 2010, Imomoh had been senior director of operations at Southland Park in West Memphis, Ark. – across the Mississippi River from Memphis, Tenn. Delaware North said Imomoh helped transform Southland into a major gaming destination.
Omimah also was the food and beverage director at Southland from 2007 to 2010. Before that, he helped launch Jumer’s Casino & Hotel in Rock Island, Ill., and worked with the Isle of Capri Casino chain in Louisiana and Mississippi.
