Huddle House opens in Mt. Morris

Greene County has a new place where you can huddle up with family or friends.
Huddle House, an Atlanta-based franchise, opened its newest family diner Monday at 106 Gas Company Road, Mount Morris. It is the third Huddle House in Pennsylvania, and second in this region. The others are in Claysville and Frystown, Berks County.
The company’s policy is to open in smaller communities while trying to help the local economy by providing 30 to 40 jobs.
Marshall Bishop is the owner of the Mount Morris diner, which will be open 24 hours.
The chain got its name in 1964, when founder John Sparks thought his diner in Decatur, Ga., would be a great place for people to gather following a Friday night high school football game.
